Born and raised in Amsterdam, I graduated in 1992 from the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague.
After a post graduate study in digital post production, I relocated to Dubai to work as a digital artist.
When I returned to Amsterdam a few years later, I decided to focus more on my own photography.
I have worked for many designers and advertising agencies ever since.
Craftsmanship is an integral part of my photography but always in service of art.
Besides striving for beauty and technical perfection, I want to create an emotional impact on the viewer.
My work has been awarded at prestigious festivals around the world such as D&AD, Cannes Lions, EuroBest, Epica, ADCN and New York Festivals.
